Terms and Conditions for Floral Preservation and Framing
- Hamlet Creations will preserve your flowers and create a three-dimensional picture using our special preservation treatments. This may include reducing the flowers and/or foliage to fit the frame(s) that you order. While we make every effort to reproduce your arrangement as close to the original as possible we reserve the right to apply some interpretation in our work. We only provide a preservation service with framing as we consider this to be the most effective way of providing a lasting keepsake.
- Fresh flowers degrade over time and in hot or damp conditions. The quality of the end product will reflect the quality of the flowers delivered or collected. Please do NOT spray the flowers and do keep them as cool as possible. We reserve the right to refuse to preserve flowers if in our opinion they are in unsuitable or unusable condition. In the event that unusable flowers require replacement we will consult you and inform you of the additional cost before purchasing replacement flowers.
- Colours may change when the flowers are preserved, e.g. some reds can become darker and some whites can become creamy, and some slight shrinkage may occur. We may use enhancement techniques to restore colour but there may still be some variation from the original colours. All our frames are fitted with UV glass as standard to help protect the preserved flowers from sunlight or artificial light damage, but other factors such as heat and humidity can also cause damage for which we have no responsibility. Framed preserved flowers are a natural product and colours may soften over time. If you have any concerns about this please contact us to discuss your specific flowers.
- Some customers find it helpful to view their flowers after preservation to take account of any slight colour changes before ordering their frames and mount boards. Please contact us to make an appointment if you wish to use this facility. When your picture is completed we are not able to offer any refunds due to colour or texture changes.
- Hamlet Creations has no liability for any personal injury or damage to property while the customer is on its premises; any delay in the completion of the flower preservation; or any loss or damage of fresh/preserved framed flowers in transit, which is carried out at the customer's risk. In any event our liability is limited to the full purchase price of the order.
- An advance reservation fee of £20 per order is required at the time of booking to secure your position in our work schedule. The reservation fee is not refundable but will be offset against your total order price.
- A collection service from local venues is offered for pre-booked wedding bouquets and additional flowers. This service is subject to availability and at our complete discretion. A collection charge may apply depending on the location of the venue. Please contact us for details of any charges, which are payable in addition to and at the time of the deposit (28 days before collection) and are not refundable.
- An initial deposit of EITHER 50% of the price of the frame(s) where chosen OR £100 is payable 28 days before collection. If you have previously paid the £20 reservation fee this may be deducted from the initial deposit. Any initial deposits paid are not refundable. Where the flowers are delivered to Hamlet Creations the initial deposit is payable at the time of delivery. An additional deposit may be required at the time of ordering the frame(s) to equate to 50% of the price of the frame(s). The final balance is due on completion.
- Customers are requested to collect completed orders within one month of notification of the completion by Hamlet Creations. Space constraints do not allow us to keep uncollected items and we reserve the right to dispose of these after the one month period at our discretion.
- We accept payments in cash or by cheque made payable to Hamlet Creations Ltd (cheque guarantee card required for final payments). Any cheques returned by our bank will incur a charge of £20.
